Warmer weather

Finally a warm weekend. No more glassing in the cold. Finally got some work done on Mark's log. Next steps, fin box, sand, gloss and polish.

My new board. 9"9" stepdeck pig

This is a new board for myself. It's about time. 9 feet 9 inches with a step deck, low entry, kick in the tail, 50/50 rails, D fin and wide point 10 inches aft. Incredible.

Marks Steels yellow single fin

Due to the cold weather progress has been a little slow. Really hard glassing in the cold, especially 10oz. Marks board is a 9'7" rolled belly, reverse rocker, reverse rail, low nose, kicked tail, nose riding machine. Its going to be awesome finished in yellow 10oz with faux triple stringers.

Cold weather gloss coats. Brrr...

Working with resin in the cold is never easy. I find that 30 seconds in the microwave helps things flow.

Service will resume...

Due to 4 weeks of car troubles plus Christmas and New Years I haven't made it out to the workshop in a while. Fear not. Production will resume next week with the completion of James Onslow's fish and the start of a new log for Mark Steel.

Blue Diamond

Busy day on Saturday. I got Mark's fish glossed, I finished shaping James' Fish, shaped the diamond tail and glassed the bottom in a superb shade of blue. Really excited about this board.  *update* Blue diamond tail has been hotcoated top and bottom.
